Oke, sebelum kalian judge, saya sadar ini bukan tentang cinta. Ini tentang limerence—obsesi romantis yang pada dasarnya adalah otak saya mencari dopamine hit karena kehidupan terlalu membosankan. Apakah itu sehat? Tidak. Apakah saya akan berhenti? Juga tidak.
Yang lucu adalah, saya menulis lagu ini sambil sadar penuh bahwa ini adalah coping mechanism yang buruk. Tapi daripada pergi ke psikolog (mahal) atau menghadapi kenyataan (menakutkan), lebih mudah menulis lagu tentang seseorang yang bahkan tidak tahu saya ada. Efisien, kan?
Dan ya, bagian “who wants to be free?” itu bukan retoris. Saya genuinely lebih nyaman dengan obsesi ini daripada harus menghadapi kehidupan yang kosong tanpa sesuatu untuk dituju. Apakah itu patologis? Mungkin. Apakah saya peduli? Masih memikirkannya.
Fun fact: Saya sudah tahu semua red flag ini, sudah baca artikel tentang limerence, sudah nonton video tentang attachment issues. Dan saya masih akan mengirim text itu nanti. Karena kadang, knowing better doesn’t mean doing better.
